Client work, but mad a little step on the outline.

Client work logjam.

Client work all day and night, but I was super productive on my walk, and figured out a lot of necessary character an timeline elements.

On hold. Sidelined with client work.

Looks like I ran out of outline track to run at high speed.

Day off.

My weekly pace empties my writing tank, so I'm talking the weekend off.

Another solid week of writing. Will work some more on the outline. The more I write, the more I see the holes.

Writing a reflective chapter. You throw enough crap at a character, they deserve these every so often.

Another rainy morning of words. Finished one chapter, wrote another, then began a third. Happy to pass the 60k mark.

My trick for drafting is, don't worry about the things you don't know the answer to for now. Make a note and solve the problem when you know more.

Writing day off.

Attended monthly writing group, and took a swing at the logline for the new book.

Woke up fuzzy and achy and things didn't improve. Took an afternoon swing and motored through to a personal best week of drafting.

Another quick chapter, plus the beginning of a big event for the protagonist! Can't wait to write it tomorrow.

Started a new chapter, got two sentences in, and realized I needed to write an intermediary chapter—so I did.

When it's not brutally hard to write a mystery, it's really fun.

Felt like my fingers were glued together at the start, then "POOF" a bunch of words appeared.

Nice light weekend writing. Still writing about food, not sure why.

Keeping the ball rolling. I wonder what's easier. Building-up writing stamina, improving my typing speed/accuracy, or developing a clearer image in my head of what I'm writing?
