Following my tenure as art director for Ralph Lauren Fragrances, I consulted with them for many years. One project that landed in my inbox was the development of two new men’s fragrances. After a hundred bottle designs and significant push-back from Polo Corp, marketing reimagined and combined the projects. Back to the digital drawing board, I was now tasked with designing the primary packaging for a new pillar in the Men’s Polo franchise. One that stood out, yet lived harmoniously in the World of Polo. After far fewer rounds than the previous efforts, Polo Red joined the family and remains a top seller at the counter with its own line of flanker fragrances.
